The following information is on what constitutes a "Complete file" for being admitted to a Canadian Institution/University. Although AvenuesAbroad.com can occasionally work with a file that is missing in item, most of the time, the following are required for complete processing of a student's file, before it can be sent to a Canadian College
1. The Application Form
The Application form is the primary communication device between the student and the College / University (the individual college forms will be filled by us on the basis of information provided). As such, any missing information will create a request from the College / University for additional response from the student, thus taking more time and effort for the admissions process.
The following questions are important.
1) Did the student use their complete name on the form?
2) Were all pertinent blanks filled out?
3) Did the student sign the form?
4) The address on the application form is where the acceptance letter will be sent. Is the address on the application form, the one you want to use for this purpose?
2. Application Fee
An application fee of $65 to $250 (Canadian) as per the college requirements is required for every student, and the draft should come from the student.
3. Educational/Transcript details (photocopies duly attested)
The transcripts sent to us may be copies, but we must be able to access the originals so that they should be requested from your "source" when the papers are sent.
1) Are the transcripts readable?
2) Does the transcript have an attestation seal and a signature from an institutional official?
3) Are the transcripts from all institutions the student attended included in the packet?
4) Is a copy of the graduation diploma from the secondary school or the degree certificate from the college the student attended enclosed? (Unless the student is still finishing requirements, the degree certificate is required.)
4. Photographs (two)
5. Photocopies of the Passport
6. TOEFL or any other score (if any)
7. Financial Statement
The purpose of the financial information is for the student to tell us how and who will pay for your study in Canada.
1) When you read the form can you tell how much money is available and who will pay?
2) Is there a signed bank statement or letter from the bank on letterhead stationary enclosed to support the financial form, proving that the money is available to support the student?
3) If the student will not pay for his education personally, and the bank statement belongs to his/her parents, is there a letter with the information establishing the connection between the student and the financial supporter.
8. Professional fees
All Students applications for Canada should be Accompanied by the required Professional fees "Non Refundable." The drafts should be made payable AvenuesAbroad.com
Please note that specific requirements for institutions will vary and students are encouraged to check directly with the institution(s) they are interested in for specific admissions requirements.
