Test Of English as a Foreign Language is an exam required by all International students who are from countries whose native language is other than English. This exam is mandatory to gain entrance to colleges and universities in USA, UK, Canada and several other countries where medium of instruction is English. Scholarship committees, employers, and professional licensing and certification agencies also use the TOEFL to evaluate English proficiency.
For many students, TOEFL may be the first standardized exam that they take, whether on paper or now through a computer. The experience can be overwhelming when coupled with the pressure of understanding spoken English as practiced in the United States.
To that end, we developed a coaching program for students with marginal, average and good English language skills. The dynamic coaching by experienced faculty and tools such as computer based tests and all books help students learn and master the TOEFL test.
The TOEFL test has four sections:
1. Listening: Measures the ability to understand English as it is spoken in North America.
2. Structure: Measures the ability to recognize language that is appropriate for standard written language.
3. Reading: Measures the ability to understand short tests used in North American colleges and universities.
4. Writing: Measures the ability to write in English on an assigned topic, you must compose an essay.
The TOEFL computer test is out of a total of 300 points.
