Types of courses
The academic year in UK generally commences in September and continues through late May for higher education. Application for admission to the UK institutions is a lengthy process. You should start the application process well in advance, as soon as you have decided to study in the UK. The institutions require some time to assess your application and issue an offer of admission.
Before applying, you need to consider the pre-requisites for your chosen course and how well your credentials match the requirements. If the credentials are not adequate, there are several approved paths available. For example, if you do not satisfy the academic entry requirements for an undergraduate course, you may opt for a foundation course.
It is essential that you should have a thorough command over spoken and written English. In most cases, you will be required to submit evidence that your ability to understand and express yourselves in both written and spoken English is sufficient to take full advantage of your stay
in the UK. |
